We are the West Michigan Whitecaps, Class High-A Minor League affiliate of the Detroit Tigers.
The Whitecaps are in the FUN business and our mission is to provide affordable family entertainment that strengthens the West Michigan community.
We create memorable experiences by offering a fun, friendly and inclusive environment.
We've been here for 30 years and are ready to be here for at least 30 more.
Why we want you:
You're an enthusiastic, organized, detail-oriented person that loves planning and executing events.
You enjoy collaboration, meeting new people, and consider yourself a stellar communicator.

Why you want to work here:
When you join our team, you become a part of our culture and our story - we're small enough that you'll have the ability to put your stamp on things.
We've got an all-hands-on-deck mentality and pitch in when something needs to be done.
We work hard but we don't take ourselves too seriously; we realize how important things like office darts and puppy visits and staff happy hours are.
Plus, besides the typical benefits, you also get generous paid time off, free baseball tickets (your friends will love you!), paid volunteer time, a free health club membership, and opportunities to get discounted or free tickets to various shows and events in Michigan.
What you'll do:
You will work with new and existing connections to coordinate the details for non-MiLB events at LMCU ballpark (meetings, conferences, picnics, weddings, concerts, fundraisers, and more).
You'll work with our vendors and guests to coordinate timelines, setups, food & beverage options, d cor, and all other aspects of each event to deliver memorable experiences at the ballpark.
You'll act as the event point of contact, the front of the house go-to person, be constantly communicating and multitasking, be an integral part of the Special Events team - and have a lot of fun doing it! What you need:
Terrific customer service, attention to detail, excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and an enthusiasm for organizing the perfect experience.
The ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet hard deadlines.
Proficiency with event management software (we use Tripleseat).
Flexibility, since every day here is different.
Due to the nature of this role, you'll need a willingness to work nights, weekends, and/or some holidays.
